Making an Advising Appointment

You can set up a time to meet with your adviser using Slug Success. Follow these steps to get set up:

  1. On your Student Home Page, click on "Schedule an Appointment"

2. On the Schedule an Appointment Service page, select the type of appointment you'd like to make and what type of advising you need.  Then select the reason that comes closest to why you would like to meet with an adviser from the drop-down list and click "Next"

3. On the Location & Staff page, select a office location you would prefer to meet at with an adviser from the drop-down list and click "Next"

4. On the Select Time page, use the left and right arrows to navigate to the week you would like to schedule the appointment and look for the blue boxes that represent an available time in the adviser's schedule. Click on the blue boxes on the days you would like to schedule the appointment. In smaller text, the box lists how many available time slots there are for you to choose from

5. After choosing the day and time block, choose the time you would like to schedule the appointment for and click "Next"

6. On the Confirm page, check to make sure all the details are correct and that you are free and can be at that location at the scheduled time. To proceed, click "Confirm Appointment"

7. After confirming your appointment, you will receive a final confirmation message. You can then go to view the appointment on your calendar by clicking on "View My Calendar"

8. On your calendar you can see the confirmed appointment, and if you hover over or click on it, you can see more details as well as other actions such as cancelling the appointment or messaging the adviser

9. When you click on it, you can see further details of your appointment as well as other actions such as messaging the adviser or cancelling the appointment. If you would like to cancel the appointment, head over to the Canceling an Appointment guide for a step-by-step walkthrough

10. Afterwards, you and your adviser both will receive an email confirming that the appointment has been scheduled
